eCollegePro (“ECP”) is a web-based college planning and funding program designed specifically for high school students and their parents.  ECP has been developed by and is administered through College Funding Solutions, Inc. (“CFS”).  CFS is referenced in this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use page as they are also the primary administrators of this website.

While using the CFS website, your privacy is important to us.  We recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personal information you share with us.  To assist you, we provide this Privacy Statement explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information may be managed.

This Privacy Statement applies to all personal information entered through our CFS website.  Personal information is data that reasonably can be used to identify or describe an individual.  CFS uses the personal information you enter to provide relevant content and personalize your experience.

Please be advised that all college costs and funding estimates are projections only.  Each school’s admission and funding administrators have the final say on all awarded funding.

CFS keeps ALL personal information confidential.  We will not sell, rent or lease ANY information to others who are not directly affiliated with CFS.

To protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration of personal information, CFS employs appropriate physical, technical, and administrative measures.  Extensive physical security is designed to prevent unauthorized access to database equipment.

High-level electronic security measures, such as firewalls, access restrictions, and encryption provide protection from hacking and unauthorized access.

CFS limits access to personal information to those persons in the CFS organization, or as agents of CFS, who have a specific business purpose for maintaining and processing personal data.

By using the CFS website, you signify your agreement to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Statement.  If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not disclose any personal information to the CFS website.

If we change this statement, we will post the revised statement here, along with the date of revision.  If we make significant changes to the statement, we may also post a notice on our home page. Any changes will apply only from date of the revision.  Amended dispute resolution provisions will not apply to any dispute of which the parties had actual notice as of the date of the amendment.

CFS authorizes you to access / view, as a single copy, the content available within the CFS website solely for your personal, noncommercial use.

All contents of this website are protected under United States copyright, trade mark, and other applicable laws.  All contents and materials used, provided, and displayed are the sole possession of CFS.  Under these Terms of Use you agree not to modify, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast, or circulate any such material or any version of any material, in part or in whole, without the advanced written permission of CFS.

This CFS website may be used only for lawful purposes by individuals seeking information about colleges, universities, financial aid, or private sector scholarships.

When registering for the ECP College Planning Program or when requesting additional information pertaining directly to the college planning process, you will be asked to provide valid contact information, including, but not limited to, address, city, state, zip, phone, and email address.  CFS will not release this information without your explicit, prior consent to any third party service, except to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant.  At the time of your data submission, and if you choose to receive additional information, that request will be forwarded directly to the appropriate representative, colleague, and/or institution.

CFS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, or disability.

CFS does not warrant that the ECP website will operate error-free or that the ECP website and its server(s) are free of computer viruses or any other related harmful mechanisms.  In the event any equipment or data repair or replacement is necessary as a result of accessing the ECP website, CFS is NOT responsible for any costs associated with the repair and/or replacement; the aggregate liability of CFS to you for “all” claims arising from the use of the ECP website shall not exceed twenty-five dollars ($25).

The ECP website contains links that are provided “solely” as a courtesy to you and in no way should be construed as an endorsement or solicitation for business.  CFS is not responsible for the content of any linked (third-party) website and makes no representations regarding the content, accuracy, validity, or usefulness of any such linked site.

The ECP website is explicitly designed as a “venue” only; CFS is not involved in the actual transaction, business or otherwise, between colleges, financial aid providers, students, third-party companies, or any employees thereof.
